Sounds a tad inflammatory to me! Cool, calm, collected facts in the letter and rant and swear on here .

saltire · 15/11/2008 11:32

Oh believe me I have done several rants and swears on here.

If they are incompetent liars who cannot do their jobs properly, then I do not feel it is wrong to put this in a letter.

hatwoman · 16/11/2008 16:01

don't use that phrase. say "they said x. y is in fact the case". ie explain in words of one syllable the lies that they have said. and explain why they are incompetent.

Fiveplusbump · 16/11/2008 16:03

I have been following your threads on this and feel very for you.
What a bunch of incompetents .
Shall we all group together ring the office at the prearranged times throught out all next week and ask where your money is
It willpiss them off at least.
I really do hope you sort it soon I know how awful it is brotish gas owe me about a grand and refuse to send it me .

Well i wrtoe out all the facts - dates times what was said etc and DH re-worded it. he used words such as intolerable, physcological stress, emotional and finacial stress, unacceptable, unbelivable, incompetent. he didn't say they were lairs, but that does come across when the letter is read. Anyone reading it would think "no way coud a major financial institution carry on like this"

choosyfloosy · 17/11/2008 13:49

let the facts tell the story IMO. I don't think your dh's approach is the right one. Just sink your teeth into the facts and don't let go.

My advice is state what happened chronologically then what you want to happen now.

Too many people write a complaint letter with no detail of what they wish for the company to do now.

Do you want financial compensation? An apology letter? Sorry, Saltire I haven't followed your previous threads so am unsure what you have been through.

I agree with hatwoman that you say X said this, and yet Y is the case.

I used to deal with a lot of complaint letters (used to work for npower )
