Like many people in the UK, I'm working out how to get through the recession. I currently have one loan (taken to pay for a training course). £2,500. It feels bad enough. Have cleared credit card and am working out how not to go overdrawn this and every month.

How about you lot?

£330K secured on house.

Approx. £200k on business loans, o/draft, personal loans, c/cards etc.

Not to mention what we owe to HMRC etc.

God help us!

Too much.
It really pisses me off tbh. Dh is a 'what do you mean the overdraft isn't really my money?' while I am usually a 'look, if we cut the toothpaste open, we can use it for another week!' kind of gal.

Is an uphill struggle but slowly, slowly getting on top of it. Wish I could blame dh entirely (thouigh it is his wine and season tx really) but I am prone to 'fuck it, I deserve to spend some money too' purchases . Nope, am resolved, gonna reaaaally scrimp this month. Did a month of no purchasing unless I had to (v liberating - borrowed, reused, hunted down things in house, improvised). Had lots of money over at end of month... and then we had to shell it all out for new boiler !!
