of how much I'd get if I were to be earning £6,398 a year....I'm going to get an appointment (hopefully) with my Lone Parent advisor to get more accurate figures - but every time I go through the calculator on entitleto I come up with different figures

Oi, FAQ, get back here now - look emoticons!

That sounded like you were running yourself down there! Get thee to the advisor for figures and get that job application in.

Or I shall hex you.

mwhahahahahahahahahah

SaintGeorge · 30/09/2008 19:15

How do you do that expression on FB anyway?

FAQ · 30/09/2008 19:16

no I wasn't running myself down! I'm being realistic - it's not an Ofsted rated "outstanding" school for nothing you know - they have some damn good teachers (and teaching assistants who I often wonder about why they haven't gone on to be teachers).

They don't take any old applicant - they took a year to appoint a new head teacher a couple of years ago - not because of a lack of decent applicants - they had LOADS of applications for it - but because none of the highly qualified/skilled applicants they had lived up to their expectations.

I must say though - I'm glad they didn't just rush into choosing one for the sake of having a permanent head again the one they finally chose is fantastic.

But you never know until you try.

FAQ am tax credit officer if you'd like me to do a calculation for wtc & ctc for you mail me on airym at hotmail dot co dot uk.
I'll see if I can help you

FAQ · 30/09/2008 19:21

I know - I'll wait to see if the figures work ou in my favour first - it's not a lot more (the salary) than working 20hrs minimum wage a week, and I was going to be worse off there - but that was taking into account I'd have to sort out holiday care and possibly before/after school care for the older DS's too.......

Then if the figures look ok I'll go in and ask for an application form
