Does anyone know of a basic savings account where you still get a 'passbook'......

yes its very old fashioned I know but I fancy being able to keep a paper record of whats going in (might encourage me to save!)

Small building societies still do - DS has one with the Cheshire

Don't they all? My dds have savings in Yorkshire BS, Halifax and Nationwide, all with passbooks and I have 2 with Abbey, both with passbooks.

Thanks, maybe they are still commonplace then, have been looking on internet and it only seems to come up with internet or card accounts, I will investigate further!
