Hey guys my wife is unemployed. (Stay at home mum)

she was supposed to pay 2880 (the max she can pay in) before April and another 2880 after April.

(she has two sipps nest and dodl)

she has been going through something very bad and stressful and suffering mentally and she accidentally/without thinking (was convinced she hasn’t paid yet) paid 2880 twice before April.

one 2880 in nest another 2880 in dodl

We contacted dodl they said they’ll look into it but haven’t returned any emails and she already got tax relief on both!!!!

anyone know what to do?

I am sorry I don't think you can get money out of a pension once it has gone in.

Yeah I think you need a refund of members contributions due to over contribution.

If she didn’t use her full allowance in any of the last five years she may be able to use “carry forward” and still be eligible for tax relief. Alternatively you can ask that the contribution remain but the tax relief be reversed as she’s not eligible.

No, you cannot get carry forward if you have no earnings.
As PP said, you need to ask one of them to refund the overpayment and return the tax relief.

I’m ok with the money not being returned, I just want hmrc to get their money (tax relief) back

There is a process and the providers should come back to you, it does happen from time to time but it’s the type of query that will be referred to a technical specialist usually. I’d suggest you cancel the contribution made second and don’t try to pick and choose.
