HL ready made pension?

I’m currently thinking of investing in a private pension. I was looking at Hargreaves Lansdown and liked the look of the ready made pension. Does anyone invest in this? I thought it. Might be cheaper than their other SIPP option where you pick all the shares, funds, bonds to invest in etc. I can only put in about £50 a month at the moment as I also pay in to a work pension, so I want to keep fees low. Any advice much appreciated

Is there a reason you can’t or don’t want to add more into your work pension?
What are the % fees like on the HL one?

I think the total fees are 0.45% for the HL ready made one. My workplace one is a teacher’s pension, but the figures aren’t as attractive as I first thought. My employer won’t match or make additional contributions if I change the accrual rate, so I thought I’d put some in a private one instead. I think I can transfer the HL one for free if need be in the future

I would compare the ready made one with an H&L SIPP invested in a tracker fund like Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap accumulation fund.

Have a look at the prudential AVC pension scheme for teachers. Could be a good fit
