Do you think this is a reasonable budget?

My pay in is 3480 (sometimes a bit less)

1500 is used for my portion of bills etc
950 is put into savings
This leaves 1030 for me to use on whatever I want, fuel for car and anything the dc need.
Anything leftover at the end of the month after that is also put into savings.

What do you think?

I earn about by the same. I pay £500 AVCs, then on payday I put £1.6k in the joint account, pay any of my own discretionary bills (eg car tax/service) and then move all but £500 into an ISA that can be accessed 3x a year if need be. I also have about £2.5k in easy reach in an instant savings account. I don’t spend the full £500 generally. Following month repeat, take my balance down to £500.
When I need to pay for a holiday etc I use the instant savings account and then top that up or top it up for a couple of months rather than put funds into an isa. We also have joint savings we can access easily. We’re both trying to bump up savings and pensions while we can (uni fees approaching).

Why do you need c£1k a month? If you don’t spend it all or want to try and spend less I’d move more at the start of month.
