A really dumb question but what kind of person do I need to help me with taxes?

I'm not looking for a Wealth Manager or someone who invests for me or a financial planner, though I guess this sort of falls under the umbrella of financial planning by ensuring all taxes are in order.

I'd like to speak to someone who can help me understand my tax codes properly, ensure they are correct and that any future self-assessment tax returns are done correctly.

So I guess a Tax Advisor and Planner of some sort?

I've never needed anything like this before, so forgive my very ignorant question, but what kind of person or business do I need to contact for the above?

You need an accountant.

Thank you so much!
A second dumb question, would they be able to help with international income and tax as well? Or would I need a specialised accountant who’s familiar with international affairs?

Really really appreciate this! It’s all new to me so want to make sure I talk to the right kind of professional.
