I have a pregnancy related health problem , my employer did not give me a risk assessment at any time or give me suitable work so that I could carry on working.
I am now signed off for the rest of my pregnancy and on ssp @ £75.00 per week.
I wont get SMP because the SSP is so low.We are in the crap financially and I cant afford legal advice,I am not entitled to legal aid.
I have been told I have a strong case but I cant get legal help.

Please help if you can.

You do have a strong case iuseaas. Any breach of H&S legislation for pregnant women is automatic sex discrimination.

I would suggest CAB as your first port of call for legal help - have you tried there?

Cab are helpful but they only go so far with advice.

I guess i want some one to tell me what to do step by step.I have written a grievance letter to my employer and they have 28 days to reply.

Have you tried ringing Acas? They are usually very helpful.

Employment Tribunals website also very good, this page is the claiming and responding bit, and you'll see there are sections at the bottom telling you in detail exactly what happens and what you need to do.

The whole point of the employment tribunals system is that it's supposed to be accessible to everyone, ie you should be able to do it without a solicitor. It's not necessary to write your claim in legal-sounding language for example.

As your case is very clear and not (by the sounds of things) complicated, it shouldn't be too tricky to put the claim in.

I would suggest having a look at the tribunals website, and giving ACAS a ring to see what they suggest.
