Just wondering if there are any relatable / realistic board games which could help to teach my children the basics of money management please?

Age group? For younger primary Orchard Games Pop to the shops with pretend money is fun.

Slightly older primary age can’t go wrong with Monopoly.

For teens and young adult Catan or Katan not sure how to spell it . It’s an empire building game trading crops

Thank you for these, I will look them all up (I know Monopoly) our children are 14, 10 and 5, so for any of those ages really.

If you want to teach budgetting let them help you plan the weeks dinners, work out what ingredients you need to buy to make them and cost it out using the Tesco app. Give them a max budget to stick to.

We play Monopoly

My son regularly robs the bank

But yes, it's great for addition, subtraction etc

The Game of Life encourages investments, taxes you, allows you to save for status symbols, and makes you cash it all in when you retire. It also sends you down a more lucrative career path if you go to university and pay the fees - not necessarily realistic!

The Game of Life is brilliant, my kids loved that when they were younger (not so sure about getting more money for more kids lol)

To take it to the next level, try Cashflow by Rich Dad, Poor Dad. My dad got it for us when we were kids - it was fun but none of us managed to build passive income streams that are anywhere near our salaries 🤔
