Best option for a one-off share purchase?

Hi - hoping this is the right place to post! I found a dedicated Investments forum, but it seemed a bit short on traffic, so I thought I’d try here šŸ™‚

I want to buy some shares in a particular company. I don’t need advice on the purchase, and I’m not looking to build a portfolio. This is likely to be a one-off purchase and sale.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a firm/platform to use for this? Anything involving an ongoing contract or advisory fees would not be suitable, as I am highly unlikely to be a regular trader.

Any tips gratefully received!

I used Hargreaves Lansdown and it was super easy via their app

I use trading212 for both ISA and non ISA investing and it’s very straightforward and cheap (zero trading fees). Free to sign up for an account too but it is entirely online, so you need to be happy uploading pics of your photo ID etc.
i have also used HL and they are good, but there will be some small fees to pay on buying and selling.

I can second the recommendation for Trading 212 - I have a small portfolio and use their investment account - it's simple to use and no trading fees. If you haven't already used your ISA allowance then their S&S ISA is more tax efficient than their investment account.

Trading 212 if buying shares in an ISA or GIA. They let you buy fractions of shares that other platforms don't allow. AJ Bell for a SIPP. Only downside of T212 is lack of option to buy funds but that's not an issue if you're looking to buy shares in an individual company or an ETF.
