I want to know as it has just occurred to me that we seem to paying rather a lot, given I've only ever claimed once in 12 years, for a small amount....

anyone got any recommendations? We are currently with Alliance and Leicster - mainly cos we have mortgage with them and we have been too idle busy to do more research.

Ours is quite a bit but we are covered for everything. Our policy also includes quite a lot of specified items such as watches, rings etc. It really depends of area.

292 buildings (unlimited re-building costs)

About 270 contents I think this year. It was a bit expensive but our cover had expired and I panicked a bit.

louii · 08/06/2008 23:34

LuckySalem · 08/06/2008 23:35

About £25 for both a month. Although its up for renewal so looking for cheaper. Its the area I live in that makes it slightly more expensive.

selby · 09/06/2008 15:57

£196 for £250K buildings' and £70K contents for the year - 4 bed detached in SW. Sainsbury's Online (which is actually from Halifax)

SueW · 09/06/2008 23:45

No more expensive than most.

I pay annual not monthly, btw!! Hate having to remember all those £20 for this, £20 for that monthly DDs.

SaintGeorge · 09/06/2008 23:58

I was paying about £35pm for buildings & contents, £100 excess, with Directline.

Now they want to put it up to £85 per month with £5000 excess .

Don't have much of an option either as most other companies won't even consider us for cover.
