i need to find 4.5k pretty urgently, don’t have an issue to pay back but I can’t find anywhere that will accept me. Has anyone been in this situation, where did you find one?

The reality is that if there was no concern over repayment then you’d be able to get a loan pretty much anywhere. The fact you can’t means that these lender’s have reason to believe you will struggle to pay it back, hence they won’t give it to you.

There is always these awful “we lend to anyone” companies but I cannot stress enough how bad of an idea that would be.

Sorry but I think you’ll struggle to find somewhere that’ll lend you £4.5k if you have adverse credit or a low income, which I’m assuming you do if you are being rejected.

If you could pay it back and have a good credit history then you would get that loan. If you can’t, then it means poor history of repaying loans or low income and they believe that you would struggle.

Can you ask family? It’s an awkward situation to put someone in, especially if you need a long repayment term to make the payments manageable but sounds like your only option. Otherwise, work out a repayment plan for whatever it is you need this money for if at all possible.

What do you need the loan for?

Could you look at getting two or three smaller loans if this is an option - sometimes credit cards will give you a lower limit with a money transfer option at 0% interest but please only do this if you are confident you can meet the repayments.

Who have you asked? Do you have a local credit union?
