Transferring money from a basic account to a flexible ISA in a different bank

Is it possible to transfer money from a basic account at one bank into a flexible ISA at a different bank through the bank apps? Or would it have to be done a different way?

Completely doable. Just open up the ISA and transfer the money from your current account to the ISA one

And if this doesn’t work, open a basic current account with the same bank as the isa account and keep £1 in the current account. Some banks will only transfer current account to current account.
then easy to move the money from the new current account to the ISA.
I have several current accounts just so I can access good savings rates in ISAs

Thank you! Am I correct in thinking I can only transfer £20,000 into the ISA between now and next April?

Yes, you can put only £20, OOO in each financial year.

Just to clarify, the limit is £20k but that can be across as many ISAs as you like. It doesn’t have to be all in one. So if you wanted to spread your risk across a Cash ISA and a S&S ISA, you can do that.
