Best business bank account?

I am setting up as a limited company and looking at a business bank account. I currently bank with Barclays. I’ve been recommended meetle but they don’t lend money. I’m looking at lending in the next few years would it matter if they didn’t lend or would it be better to go with a more “known” bank? Thanks.

What type of lending? Overdraft or loans? The traditional high street banks are a better bet if you need an overdraft. For example, Starling are great If you have a simple business and don't need cash facilities, but are risk adverse and less likely to give an overdraft. If it's loans, it depends where you are planning to get the funding from, there are lots of options other than banks for lending.
Mettle are part of NatWest. But it depends on what you need from your bank account, NatWest have free accounting software was they own Freeagent. If you're in an area that has a Metro bank, they're good for small businesses as you can normally guarantee you can talk to someone in person.

Thank you that is really helpful! Lending would be loan / possible mortgage in the future.
