Universal credit / LCWRA help please

Would be grateful for any advice please. Will try to keep as brief as possible.

Am a single mother of two aged 5 and almost 3, after separating from my husband a couple of years ago. Am in receipt of universal credit and having monthly meetings at present, with the expectation that I will need to be working 30+ hours a week from next month when my son turns 3.

I have an assortment of health problems - endometriosis which has spread to three different organs and which causes excruciating pain and long-term anemia, ossicular erosion in my ear which causes recurrent labyrinthitis, joint pain which wakes me at night, fatigue etc and various other issues which are under investigation. I can't walk very far. I have been having various tests done. I went to see a GP yesterday and he said he does not believe I am fit for work. I do not like to cause a fuss about my illnesses but I genuinely do not feel well enough to work. I can barely function day to day and am exhausted and in pain all of the time. I had always worked prior to having children, but would take a lot of time off sick, and my conditions have got progressively worse over time.

What do I do next - I have heard about LCWRA - do I need to fill in the "report a health condition" bit on my universal credit account, and will that then trigger someone to contact me? As I understand I am not supposed to go ahead and complete a UC50 form without it being specifically requested.

Just a bit confused about where I go from here.

Thank you.

Assume GP gave you a fit note to say you are not fit for work.

You need to log into UC and report a health condition. At that point you can say you have a fit note and give the expiry date on it. There is space there to list your health conditions.

You will at some point need to give them details of the fit note - issuing Doc etc.

That will trigger the issue of a UC50 form after a further month assuming the fit note remains current.

If you are found to have limited capability for work related activity payment will be added effective three clear Assessment Periods after the fit note is filed.
