Those of you that class yourself as lower earners or say min wage workers for example. .
What do you do re pension ? - do you pay in extra to a private one ?
Do you invest in stocks / shares ?

The problem at that sort of pay point is having the cash to put towards a pension. At all.

I pay in extra to a a private pension, yes.

I am lucky that OH earns well so we don’t need all of my salary.

Also I/we are motivated as we want to retire a lot earlier that state pension age.

I was a lower earner, now aged 70. I get pension credit and help with council tax. It’s tough but oensiin credit helps a lot. Just glad I can cook from scratch.

I’m 29 and I pay into a SIPP separately. I have an old works pension too, but there’s only around £2k in there… Since I’m out of work due to my disabilities for the foreseeable (I’m on disability benefits), I really wanted to pay into a SIPP to ensure that I have something for when I’m old.

I pay £39 a month into my SIPP. I doubt it’ll get me far, but I do try.

I have a Sipp with Legal and General, try and put away what I can.

Your disability benefits will likely give you ni credits towards state pension too
