Needing help & advice about morgage

I am in a 50/50 split in a morgage, but believe that my ex-partner, whom I share the morgage with has taken out several loans etc.. out, using the house as collateral, these are his depts, not mine & I had know knowledge of when or what he has done until now. Can I legally sign the morgage over to him fully, walk away with nothing & not have those depts follow me??

I need to know sooner rather than later!

Any help would be greatfully taken on board!

They would have needed both your signatures. If he did this fraudulently then get legal advice.
There are implications for "giving" away half a property. Like stamp duty.

You can’t just sign the mortgage over. I would recommend advice from both your mortgage broker and legally, if you have proof he has taken secured loans out against your joint home.

Why do you believe he’s managed to secure extra debts against the house without your knowledge. If so it’s fraud and these days very hard to do with all the financial checks, you cannot simply say you had no knowledge. The mortgage company is very unlikely to accept the removal of you especially if there is lots more debt on the property what is your exes idea to sell it or transfer equity?
