Can anyone tell me how to find an advisor for older person?

I'm really concerned that they are going to put all their money into an annuity, which promises to cover all their care costs for the rest of their life, but they're not doing any kind of due diligence.

Rather than me just saying what I think, I'd rather suggest a financial advisor.

Any ideas? I'm no longer in the UK, so don't know where to get a recommendation.

Also try:

An immediate care needs annuity may be the right solution, but it can't usually be bought in the UK without using an appropriately qualified financial adviser.

Thanks for those - an extra spanner in the works is that the facility manager mentioned an nhs pathway, because she has dementia and CEN (complex emotional needs). They said if that was successful it wouldn't be means tested because it was a medical necessity, so I need to explore that too.

Thanks again!
