Car leases? How does it work

We have always have a car on a lease, DH prefers that; we just changed ours recently, DH chosen it but there is something I don’t like about the car. Can we replace the car? How does this work? Are there penalties?

I don't think anyone can really answer your original questions about returning the car and penalties until you're clear on what kind of contract you have with the garage. Is it PCH, PCP or HP?

That is good to know. Thank you

Select Navigation on the home screen.
Go to Settings.
Select *Warning settings.
Locate the speed limit warning and either switch it off or adjust how far above the speed limit you need to be going for it to activate.

This might work.

Looking for it; doesn’t seem like they sent full paper work or spec. Our fault but also think sales man is at fault a bit.

The only fault is whoever decided to buy a car without viewing it first. Bonkers!

Probably, but as we had same brand and DH is super busy I give him the benefit of the doubt.

I think the salesman should have given more information though. Isn’t that their job? Be proactive, ensure the client is happy, offer test drive, better customer service.

Yes, we should have asked but they are the experts and we go there for advice.

In my opinion they wanted to do a sale as quick as they can and found the right person for it.

I know I am silly, but I just have something against red 😂🥲

anyway we are off to the car dealer today; DH was not given full speck, nor shown around the show room, or offered a test drive. He signed an agreement on the IPAd and has not received copy.

I agree we should have asked; lesson learned; but it doesn’t sound like great customer service or proactivity on their part.

They are the experts and we went there because we trusted them.

Their job is to sell you a car for as much profit as possible.

True and as quickly as possible; customer service is important though if they want return business.

The car is not bad; it is a silly thing but I don’t like the red stitches inside; stress me as soon as I get in. I have something against red.

It also has a beeping sound every time you passed the limit speed which apparently can be turn off.

no test drive offer and no full spec given either

Edited

So, seat covers and switching off the speed notification will sort this out?

Well clearly not as you bought another Toyota without even driving it or looking at it! That’s as much on you (or your husband) as it is them.

Look at it from their point of view. A customer with a 3 year old Toyota Corolla wants a new one. It’s reasonable to assume that you’ve done some basic research online, firstly to arrive at the conclusion that the same again is the right choice, and secondly to choose the spec. As you already had one I don’t they’d be surprised you didn’t test drive it, or even look at one in the showroom. You have to make a conscious decision to choose an exterior colour; I think it’s fair for them to assume you’ve checked out the colour of the seats as part of that?
