It can be a few weeks - DWP sometimes sits on making back payments while it decides if it wants to appeal the tribunal decision

It took a few weeks for mine. Be aware that they often stop payments after a lump sum has been back paid. I was told this is because large payments often mean an award has ended so they automatically stop further payments. This makes no sense whatsoever of course but be aware that it might happen. So if your usual payment doesn't arrive as expected once your lump sum has been paid then get on the phone to the DWP right away.

It can be as little as a couple of weeks, but I've never had one take much more than a month.

The quickest I can recall was from a hearing on 14 December and the client got the arrears payment before Christmas. It made me look like a bit of a mug, because I'd told her it wouldn't be until the new year!

Thanks guys I’ve only just seen the replies . I’ve still not heard but did call them they asked me if id prefer the back payment put into normal payments spread out or in a lump sum. So that to me means they aren’t likely to appeal the tribunals decision , well I hope
