PIP

Hi.

I currently receive PIP - I receive the higher rate of daily living as I scored 12 points overall along with standard mobility.

The recent reforms mean that I am going to lose out at the point of my review. Despite having 12 points for daily living, I don't score 4 points in one area. I understand that this will make me ineligible moving forwards.

My award if due to end December 2025 so I am expecting the paperwork anytime now. I am absolutely dreading it - I just don't know how I will manage if I lose the money.

It won’t be coming in until late 2026/27 so hopefully your review will be passed before then.

OP is right to worry though because a review isn’t likely to give 4 points where she doesn’t have them now. If anything it will be harder than ever to get 4 points.

I know she won’t have 4 points but the new rules won’t be in place when she has her review in December.
I was hoping she would get at least 3 or 4 years before her next review. Then it will be a nightmare for many of us.
It’s such a strain going through the whole thing.

As others have said your next review will be done under current criteria so shouldn't be affected. I agree it's a worry going forwards. If your condition is progressive or unlikely to change they may give you a longer award, they have talked about doing this for some people.
