Fraud Risk - Photo of driving licence

I beleive someone may have taken a photo of my driving licence details without my consent. I am now worried that they have enough details to take out loans etc in my name. What risk am I at if a stranger has a photo of my driving licence.

Note this was in a bar after a few drinks. Obviosuly worried about the saftey angle but this was in a bar miles from home so more worried about the ID side.

Goodness knows how many times mine has been pictured or scanned as ID both in the UK and abroad.

I guess the risk is there but they'd need more than a picture of your licence to take out a loan. Could they access your bank details for example.

I'd regard the risk as small enough to live with as long as there are other mitigations including dealing with all your post and perhaps subscribing to something like Credit Karma where you can see what's going on on your credit file.

Sign up to the big credit reference agencies. If someone applies for credit, a search will be done and you'll be able to see it.
DH was advised to do this when a fraud was randomly committed against his name and address.

Credit reference clearly showed our application for finance for a new car.

I get an email update fro Credit Karma every month and, I think, if they see anything I might want to know about even if it's just a soft search from Lexis Nexis which seem to crop up very often.
