Chase or Revolut

Chase is cutting back 1% cashback to just a few things, like groceries and fuel. The interest is also not as high as it was.
I am looking for a card which allows me instant access, and no fees to use in Europe. Is Revolut a better option now?

Revolut was good until I had a fraudulent transaction and they were awful and unfair . Would not touch them

I use Revolut but there have been a number of news stories of people finding fraud protection at Revolut inadequate. So I am thinking of changing.

Please do.

mine was fortunately only £40 but the previous transaction was significantly more and it terrified me.

i use nationwide, I pay a fee, but I get breakdown cover and travel cover across Europe and mobile phone insurance. No fees on international transactions and I can speak to someone on the phone or go into branch. Plus there’s the chance they’ll bung you £100 profit share once a year if you also have savings or a mortgage with them.

I personally wouldn’t touch revolut, DH had a card with them for holiday spends and when there was a problem it was a nightmare, got locked out of his account, couldn’t get back in, couldn’t speak to anyone. Can’t remember if he lost any money in the end but it was stressful.

This is really helpful. I'm glad I asked, thanks.
