Does anyone use a personal finance/bugeting app that they would recommend?

Yes @BermudaBlues . I've not heard of Snoop, I will take a look. Thanks.

I used Moneyhub which I really liked. They announced it was closing but it’s actually been taken over and will continue. I think the new company is WPS Lifestage. Worth checking if that’s the kind of thing you’re looking for.

Yeah, I’ve tried a few, but YNAB (You Need a Budget) stands out for me. It’s simple to use and helps you actually plan where every dollar goes instead of just tracking after the fact. If you want something less hands-on, Mint is great too, since it links to your accounts and gives a clear overview automatically.

I just use a spreadsheet. I tried those apps but couldn't get on with them.

I've started using Snoop, which i do quite like. I signed up forvthe free trial of YNAB but found it confusing and overwhelming. It didn't like the fact that I have an ongoing OD and seemed complicated to get around that. I might revisit it once my OD is gone

I like Financielle as it comes with a community and playbook on how to run your finances, not just an app to record what’s happening (but it does that too).

Slightly different, but Raisin is really good for savings accounts.

I like how it shows the highest interest-paying accounts. And you can see all your accounts in one place. I used to stick everything with my main bank, but Santander and Monzo interest rates are both woeful right now.

I love Snoop, very easy to use
recommend the YNAB videos on YouTube even if you don’t use the app / the idea of giving every pound a job really revolutionised my approach to budgeting

YNAB (You Need A Budget) is also my favourite. Annoying that it's not free but I've not found better in terms of personalising categories etc and it has helped me save.
