ESA & PIP INHERITANCE ADVICE

My dh is in receipt of ESA and is in the contribution based Support group, he also gets standard daily rate PIP and we get UC with LCWRA and I get Carers Allowance. His mother passed away last year and he will soon receive an inheritance of approx 60k. He has 5 years until he receives state pension and this money will have to last us to live off for the 5 years, as I realise that UC will stop as soon as he receives the money. However, I'm unsure what to do about the other benefits. Do I have to notify them that he is no longer in receipt of UC? Will it effect the ESA claim if he is no longer in receipt of UC? I'm guessing it won't effect PIP as its never mentioned on his UC claim but every month ESA is deducted from his UC claim so I'm not sure if stopping claiming UC will have a negative effect on the ESA award?

If it's the contribution based esa then no, the inheritance won't affect it as it's not means tested, same with the pip and your carers allowance. It's just the uc that will be affected.

@YourSnugHazelTraybake thank you for the reply. Do you know if I need to tell ESA when I stop the UC claim?

No you don't need to tell them.
