Trust fund for child

My child is going to receive around £4,000 as a death benefit payment. The company has stipulated that it needs to be paid into a trust. There's no existing child trust fund because those were no longer a thing when my child was born.
How do I open a trust fund?? Will it cost money to open/set up? Are there ongoing costs? The paperwork is very clear that it's a trust fund that needs to be the account it's paid into but no further information.

Thank you.

Can you open a Junior Isa and check if that counts?

I could and was going to anyway. They've not been helpful at all.

I'll phone the company on Monday when they open to see if I can get any clarity on the account. The government information doesn't tell me how to actually open a trust account.

Google talks of solicitors and that sounds expensive.

You don't have to use a solicitor

No luck so far. I've looked at the link but it doesn't tell me anything about where to set up a trust. I'm finding it confusing and stressful and feel like I'm missing something.

Where is the money held?
