Universal credit and LWCRA

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this. I am on a joint claim with my partner who has LWCRA. I work full time, way over the couples AET. I am looking at changing jobs and will still be earning over the AET but my concern is that because of the crossover, my pay in February could fall under the couples AET. I will be on an extensive training course so I’m worried about getting called into the job centre for the drop. Some people have said that because my partner gets LWCRA then I only need to earn the single AET which would solve my issue for next month but I can’t find it anywhere! Does anyone know the rules on this? It is actually putting me off switching jobs! Thank you.

I'm pretty sure that as your OH has LCfWRA and no work related activity required you'll only have to meet your own AET.

It would make sense that you should only have to meet the single AET but I'm not sure how the system is coded.

If they send you a commitment review appointment just send a message in your journal advising that you will be at work and expect your earnings to be over the AET again next month.

So long as you report the your change of job correctly they should see this and m wait until the end of the next assessment period to check your earnings anyway.
