Credit card linked to ex husband?

ive got a rubbish credit score currently (don’t need the detail here) and just applied for a credit card to help with a work trip I have to do in a couple of weeks before I claim the exps back.
i searched on money supermarket by logging into my account and noticed it had my ex husbands name and dob on the money supermarket account which I changed to mine and put my salary and mortgage payments in. I got approved for a credit card in my name.
We’ve been separated (incl all finances in our own names) for 10 years and divorced for about 8 years but now I’m worried the card is somehow linked to him?
I feel like I’m being daft as the credit card company would surely do a credit search based on my name - does anyone have any info on this to help / put my mind at rest?

Did you log into Money Supermarket using account details, i.e. login and password, stored on your PC?

Yes, it’s my work email address etc but years ago (I mean 10 years ago) my husband must have used the money supermarket login using my email address. Like I say, I put my name, date of birth and salary in and when directed to credit card site I also used my details. There’s no way my ex could have logged in to money supermarket for a decade and also I changed status to divorced etc

Have you checked your file with the three main credit agencies TransUnion, Equifax and Experian? You would be able to see on those if your ex was still financially linked to you in any way. If he shows up on your file somewhere, you can ask the agency to de-link you.

The credit card company will do a check on one of those agencies to decide whether and how much credit they will offer you.

How do you check and does it cost anything ? Thanks

You can do it without having to pay.

Thanks! I spoke to a friend who said the same, we’re not linked

It's worth checking the credit check sites as after I divorced my exh still kept coming up on the checks even if it was say for instance his mortgage on his new place. I wrote to them and asked them.to remove him from my record and it was done very quickly.
