I've nearly finished this book - I've really enjoyed it. Has anyone else read it, or watched the accompanying Netflix show?

It is American, but I haven't actually found that too much of a pain - the general concepts still hold true.

Now I just need to define my rich life 😄.

No but it sounds good. I am reading a lot of similar books at the moment having become more entrepreneurial in the last few years. I realised that I had been underpaid for what I did. I’ve really enjoyed a lot of money and mindset books since then. What is the premise of this one? I had to make sure I don’t just spontaneously buy it as I have also spent a lot of money on these books! I do find they help with my mindset though which helps me stay focused.

I follow his podcasts /youtube channel.

Often I hate one half of the couple!

Seems a decent bloke.

And I like he coaches both broke couples and ones with money but afraid to spend it. More balanced.

@Freetodowhatiwant, the main idea of it is that a rich life will look different for different people, and it runs through the basics of how to manage your personal finances. I'm similar to you I think - I quit enjoy reading things like this to find new ideas, and to make sure I'm on the right track. What other books have you enjoyed? I liked the Simple path to wealth, and Simple Money.

Yes I'm a big fan of Ramit Sethi too, and really enjoyed his Netflix series.

I signed up for his emails but they were really full on and pushy - probably trying to get me to pay for a course. But I enjoy his podcast- and any other podcast he appears on

I read his book ages ago and I follow him on YouTube. Just started watching the Netflix series and he gives good advice (except I still can’t get my head round it sometimes being better to rent than buy a house 🤯).

I think from watching that series that I’ve been seriously underpaid most of my working life and I’m 59 now!!

I really like the idea of defining your rich life and prioritising your spending according to that. I also think he’s right about paying financial advisors as a one off and not a percentage. So I’d definitely recommend watching YouTube, subscribing to his podcasts etc.
