Will my holiday insurance cover accident?

Hello all,

I know I need to check my policy, but just checking for standard policies and obviously I'll call after toss to check.

We go to center parcs on 3rd Jan. our annual travel insurance runs to 31/12. Yesterday I broke my arm meaning I won't be able to drive by then, among other things.

I did not take out the additional center parcs insurance. m I likely to be covered by my annual insurance as the accident happened in the period even though the holiday is after?

(Sorry for typos, break is in dominant arm).

No, unfortunately that is very unlikely, unless it’s on auto renew and you’ve confirmed you want to renew already. Otherwise it’s the period if the holiday that needs covering, and then anything in the lead up that stops you going is covered

Unlikely but worth checking if you happen to have any useful insurance with your credit card

As the accident happened while you are still insured you should be covered.

LoremIpsumCici · 25/12/2024 07:18

It should as the booking of the holiday and accident both happened while you were insured.

Most holiday insurance don’t cover you for the uk
i know that mine only covers me for when I’m abroad and not the uk

I’ve claimed on travel insurance when we couldn’t use holiday cottages in this country. If you are the only driver then claim as soon as possible.

Most policies cover you in
The Uk if you pay for more than 2 days accommodation.
If they don't cover you speak to centre parcs. They may rearrange your dates if you ask nicely (that had a great Covid policy so might be a nice company).
