Solicitor advice re. benefit investigation please??

Any advice would be great. My mum claims incapacity benefit due to an arthritic back condition. She does work 16 hours per week in a supermarket on the checkout as this doesn't interfere with her back pain. She informed DSS of her working even before she started and they said they would note it on her file and that was that. She has been working since August last year.

Anyway, she has had a letter this morning from the job centre saying that they have been informed of 'allegations' to do with her benefits and she has to attend an interview under caution.

She suffers with bad nerves and it on tranquilizers already. You can imagine that this has shaken her up immensely and she's been hysterical since opening the letter.

What does this mean? Has someone reported her for someone? She hasn't done anything wrong at all and does everything correctly. My dad has contacted the investigator the letter came from and she said it's a standard letter and to try not to worry!

If someone reports something, albeit false, would they have cause to investigate?
