a crown court hearing(notes/files)as a member of the public?
A family member was taken to court, and got a sentance.Did not attend the hearing at the time,so dont know what actually took place inside.
My mum acted as a character witness for this person, and the court sent her pages of notes and documents with regards to the case. She told me she burnt them at the weekend as there was no point keeping them.(apparently it was 3 inches thick of paperwork!) She will not discuss what exactly the person has done,(and it says to me that it is more than what was reported in the local paper)
This concerns me as i have young children, and my children were round their houses regulary,. The person in question were sentanced to downloading images.
Is there any way we can access the whole hearing??

I'm not sure re access to the whole hearing, you should be able to obtain a copy of the judgement though which will summarise things unless it was sealed. Not sure if there is a cost for the paperwork though.

However if they were sentanced for downloading images i'm not sure what you'll gain from it as the charge and outcome are already known.
