What Credit Agencies to use

My daughter, aged 44, has got herself into a bad financial state.
Finally, attempting to do something about it, she has moved in with us as she can no longer rent until her credit scores have improved.
She has signed up with Clear Score, Experian and Equifax, but the scores are very different.
Can anyone advise which is the best to use and what one creditors, like Estate Agents use.
Thanks for help in advance.

Don't focus on the actual numbers - these are a nonsense - but rather what is on the reports. If they are vastly different that could suggest there is something or things not being reported to one of them, or a lag in reporting.

Have her look at each one and make sure that all accounts are showing, previous addresses, full name rather than middle initials etc. If there are errors she can raise them for correction.

Ensure she is on the electoral roll of she is now living at your address

She may also wish to contact StepChange. They're a charity who advise on debt management, how to consolidate/pay or write off debt. It's worth contacting them, they're very good.

Thank you for advice. She now has no debts as she sold her house, after her divorce and this was the first thing she done. She also had a IVA which has also been paid up but unfortunately all this information sits on her report for six years.

If any of that is costing her money she needs to cancel it immediately as its completely unnecessary. She can monitor her credit report for free with Credit Karma and Moneysavingexpert.com credit club.

The best thing she can do in the short term is live to a budget as if she's running a household and save the money she's not spending on rent and bills so it's available as a deposit/rent in advance when she's ready to move out.

Also to look for small landlords who manage their own rentals, so likely to be more flexible on credit history than estate agents who stick to rules, so she can explain her circumstances to them and demonstrate she's able to live on a budget including rent as evidenced by the savings she's built up.
