So i have had to leave my full time job to become a carer for my child.
Can someone plese help with calculations for universal credits as im worried sick about it all. I have never not worked before.

So we get £1924 universal credits (couple, 2 children, high rate disability and carers)

My husband gets paid weekly of £566 before tax. How do i work out what is taken off our uc payments?

Im not sleeping im that worried about it all

Are both children getting DLA C at HR?

Do you pay rent, if so how much?

No one child HRC. Pay mortgage so no rent

Claim carers allowance and carers element

Got it now. I think £1924 is your Max Universal Credit, in effect the amount of money the law says you need to live on.

That will not change.

Now you have a Work Allowance, earnings you can have before your UC is reduced, in your case £673. Earnings above that are deducted from UC so that you lose 55p of UC for every £1 over £673/month.

Based on the earnings you quote I think your UC payable will average out at around £945 but weekly pay might change it a bit.
