Savers account?

I'm looking for a decent savings account, the ones I've seen at 8% have stipulations where you have to put money in monthly.

Does anyone know a decent savings account?

Just look on the Money Saving Expert website, they publish the top savings accounts.

4 or 5% would be decent for an instant access account.

Great tip. I did look at the MSE website but there were so many alternatives! Some of them looked good but were from banks I'd never heard of like Birmingham bank.

I was also thinking of Premium Bonds.

If you already have a current account with a particular bank, they might have some suitable savings accounts that you could open relatively easily.

Otherwise, something like a Chase account can be relatively easy to open.

Premium Binds can be an OK option too, although it takes a few days to get any money out again, and any return that you might get is down to luck.

I'll take a look at Chase. Great advice about my bank but I've looked and they don't have anything particularly good.

I'm not worried about fast access to money, so that wouldn't be a problem.

If it's listed on MSE you can be reassured it's fine to use.

The 8% ones often have quite a small minimum pay in of £1-25 so if you're short one month you could just adjust your standing order to reduce the payment.

Also look at notice accounts if you're happy to lock your money away but if you haven't used your ISA allowance this year, there's a cash ISA with Trading 212? that pays over 5% or at least there was a couple of weeks ago.
