Fixed savings account you can add money to?

Does anyone know if there exists a fixed savings account that you can add money to but can't take it out for the fixed term? I used to have one but my bank don't do them anymore. I found it very helpful!

I've just taken one with Principality BS, it's short term - 6 months with maximum deposit of £200pm but a high interest rate

Check the Money Saving Expert website, they maintain up to date recommendations.

Sounds like you might need a regular saver account, as Goosey says. Pay in each month but can only withdraw once it matures.

Regular saver accounts have a maximum amount you can deposit each month, usually between £200-£500.

Coventry Building Society have a regular saver account with a maximum deposit of £500 per month. The account runs for 1 year.

Leeds Building Society has one with a 2-year term, but you are allowed to make one withdrawal per year. Maximum monthly deposit is £250.
