Universal credit help

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a universal credit query as I'm getting really confused.

My partner and I currently live in temporary accommodation. We have 2 children. My partner is self employed but due to an injury is currently not working. He is not claiming job seekers but is bringing no money in atm. I have just gone back to work after maternity leave.
We receive housing benefit and currently get universal credit.
I will obviously be telling them about our change in circumstances and me starting work again but I just wanted to see if anyone knew how much it was likely we would be getting and if this will also affect our housing benefit.
Eldest child is at school and the youngest will be going to nursery 5 days which we will be paying for.
I won't be earning much, probably just over £800 a month. Childcare costs are likely to be around half this.
Does anyone know roughly what I'm looking at monthly please?

Thank you in advance from a super stressed mum!

Universal Credit will give you a Standard Allowance for you/partner and Child Responsibility Element for the kids. If you've go childcare costs then you'll probably get something towards those but UC may need to know more about partner's health. Is this back injury something he'll recover from in days/a couple of weeks or is it longer term?

You need to let UC know you're back at work and using childcare. If partner still has SE earnings he will need to report then in the usual way.

From your combined earnings UC will let you keep £404 as a Work Allowance before UC is affected. For every £1 after the Work Allowance UC will reduce by 55p.

Because you're in Temp Accom your housing costs are met by the Council via HB and not through UC. You need to let the Council know you're back at work.
