Now I know my exh was lying and seeing someone before we split and intends to live with her. I dont trust him with the financial arrangemets we had verbally agreed.

I will be telling him I now know about the OW and I want to change the agreement (which is due to start when we return to the Uk end of July)to take more of the assests now instead of spousal maintenace on his future income. He isn't going to be happy.

How do I ensure he doesn't go and hide money and what do people do when some policies are in joint names for quite a few years and it would be pointless to cash them in now?

4yrs ago he earnt 20k more than me and we agreed if I gave up my job and looked after the children instead of paying child care he could earn double his salary by changing jobs.

Now he has his great salary, girlfriend and freedom to work where ever he wants and see the children when he can.

I have my children but no job therefore couldn't get a mortgage if I wanted one. I can't return to old job as out of the business for 4yrs plus too many inflexible hours without a partner to help with child care.

Its 3am and I can't sleep with worry. I was married for 13yrs I thought this man had intgretity.

Solicitor if you don't already have one. You need to establish what you are legally entitled to (including a share of his pension for example) btu that could be either assets or maintenance or both. The presence of OW, admitted or not, doesn't legally change the options.
