Emergency tax and remortgage

We are looking to remortgage for home improvements

My husband was agency foe a company and now employed permanently but the last 2 payslips he has been emergency taxed.
Wi this affect the affordability or will they take into consideration his salary is still stated on the payslips and emergency tax wad temporary?

I think they base their decision on current take home pay. So the emergency tax would affect it.

But might be worth trying it anyway, when I looked into it when only did a soft credit check, and was all online.

He should explain the circumstances and what his take home pay will be once it's what it should be for his salary. Just use an online calculator like listentotaxman.com to work it out.

They don't usually base it on net, it's based on gross. Although some lenders may use net. If questioned why net is so low the simple explanation re emergency tax can be given
