Tribunal win (PIP / ADP)

For anyone going through assessment for the above, I would like to share my good news. Over a year ago my dh suffered 2 strokes which has left him with mobility, balance and speech difficulties. He applied for ADP (we are in Scotand). This was refused as he didn't get enough points. He applied for mandatory reconsideration which was also refused. They reduced his daily living points and gave him mobility points. The comments were laughable.
We went to tribunal. It was done by phone and was tough. I would have preferred in person, but that was not possible. I was convinced that it would be rejected again, but it was upheld and they recommend enhanced rate for daily living and not enough points for mobility. The comments made it clear that they had totally understood the difficulties.
While we are celebrating this win, I have been thinking that there must be a way to make the process easier and faster.

@Ihaveausername
Bloody well done!
I salute you, seriously.
I can't remember the percentage of refused claims that are overturned on appeal, but I know it's high.
My son applied, was refused, and the written feedback he received to justify their decision was full of lies basically.
I don't know if he has the mental strength to take it further, but I want to thank you for sharing your experience and good news!
