Question about Universal Credit

I was working as a teaching assistant through an agency for a few months and my UC payment was lowered while working. I lost my job and was just about to let UC know, but I just realised that I forgot to let them know I started a job. Will I get in trouble for this?

They still clearly knew I was working because they did not set any appointments and lowered my payments according to my earnings.

Also, the agency offered me another TA job starting in September. If I accept this job will I still have to attend UC appointments?

You should have let them know you'd started work but as they were aware because your earnings were reported I don't think it's real problem.

If you've got a job starting in three months time then I suspect you will need to keep some form of contact with JC+ as you might be able to do some sort of work.

I wouldn't worry about not having declared you were working as HMRC would advise them of this, and if it were an issue they would have pulled you up about it by now. It will depend on the amount of hours and how much you are paid in your new post. So if you're full time, not likely to have to attend UC appointments. Hope that helps
