Really?

Yep.

I have workplace pensions, savings & investments but £0 into a private pension.

You didn't tell us what you pay in @Tututututu

Hermione101 · 26/06/2024 13:42

I pay in 23% of gross salary + all annual bonus into my workplace pension. £800 / month (including tax relief) go into a SIPP. The rest into stocks and shares ISA. Also have a small private and government pension back in my home country, where I will retire. Am 45, so still 10-15 years work.

Edited for spelling!

CheesePleaseLoueese · 26/06/2024 19:32

menopausalmare · 26/06/2024 19:34

I put in 9.4% and my employer puts in 23%, soon to rise to 28%.

Patchworx · 26/06/2024 19:40

I use my maximum allowance of £60k pa.

stargirl1701 · 26/06/2024 19:42

I don't have a private pension. Just a workplace one (Scottish teachers). I pay 7.5% and my employer pays 26%, I think.

NatalieH2220 · 26/06/2024 19:50

£0. Work pay in but I don't.

Tilly22222 · 26/06/2024 19:54

I’m in a DB scheme- so about 8% and employer puts in 25ish. I also pay £2500 monthly AVCs. Planning to retire at 53 and live on ISAs/savings until I can access my DC pension, then DB pension from 67.

Mangolover123 · 26/06/2024 19:59

£60k p/a - the max. I am 58 so plan to retire in the next few years, ramping it up.
Will take the tax free lump sum pretty soon

OldTinHat · 26/06/2024 20:10

Big, fat zero.

TheDefiant · 26/06/2024 20:28

I pay in £620 pcm - this includes the tax rebate and employer contribution.

Still have 20+ years till I retire.

It's one of the things I'll have to cut back as the cost of living challenges our family finances further

kallosen · 26/06/2024 21:32

About £8k a year - the max I can put in of my pt salary. The govt adds on a tax rebate on top, and my employer adds 2%. I also put £4k into a S&S LISA for retirement and £16k into a S&S ISA which is earmarked for retirement.

BitsNBibs40s · 26/06/2024 22:53

Workplace - 9.5% from me and 7.5% from employer. Also have a S&S LISA.
