Hi, if someone is on Universal Credit, is there such a thing to claim for a child/children who are autistic? Thank you in advance

You do get extra if you have a child with disabilities but I'm not sure if you would have to be getting high DLA payment to be accepted for that.
There's also the carers element that some people are entitled too

Yes, if you get DLA for the child. Also, if you’re a carer to the child for more than 35 hours a week you can claim that too as far as I know.

This link explains how the child element works

UC is made up of different elements that people are eligible for. If you have a child on your claim who is in receipt of DLA or PIP ( if they are over 16) then you will receive a disabled child element in addition to the standard child element if you get that for the child. If they are on high rate DLA care component then you get the higher disabled child element and if on middle or low rate care component you get the lower child disability element.
