Can anyone help calculate my salary?

I'm hoping to drop my hours and go part time at work due to personal reasons, I'm trying to do the maths to see if it's doable, is anyone able to help because I keep coming up with different figures.

Current annual salary: 25,667.94 working 35 hours per week.

Looking to drop down to 25 hours per week.

Thanks

divide your salary by 35 & multiply by 25

Is 35 hrs a full time week though?

Comefromaway · 09/05/2024 15:41

You would get £18,334.24 per annum (minus tax, NI & pension)

Thank you! That's super helpful

9-5 with an hour for lunch is generally considered full time? This is what I work and I'm out of the house ten hours a day five days a week.

Pollipops1 · 09/05/2024 20:00

@OhamIreally Depends where you work doesn’t it? Can be 35 or can be more, hence why I asked.

Full time hours in other workplaces are irrelevant.

It's 35 where the OP works so her salary will be reduced to 25/35 x £25 668.

Then plug the new salary into a take home pay calculator to work out how it's affected.

Pollipops1 · 09/05/2024 21:11

I assumed 35 hours was FT as I used it for my calculation but thought it prudent to check…..

Bjorkdidit · 10/05/2024 04:35

The OP states her current salary for 35 hours, which might not actually be full time given its not a round amount.

Try this calculator- it works it out for you.
