botwatch 82!! The latest thread in a very long series about the deceptions practised by mlms. Unbelievably people are still being hooked in by these schemes where 97 of those who join lose money?

@WisteriaLodge they compile a report about MLM every year I believe. Not just FLP because let’s face it they’re all at it. From memory part of their report focused on income claims made by FLP and their bots. They gave links to various examples they’d observed of false income claims by FLP bots and the one they’d chosen from the UK was one of Yawn’s claims. How they narrowed it down to just one of her’s I’ll never know!

We need a TiA here; something that actually challenges the DSA UK and makes the MLMs nervous. We’ve got Trading Standards who are only interested if the product is non-compliant. They’d be more interested in Yawn if she was selling an unroadworthy Rangey. They don’t see the MLM Huns as consumers who are being tricked. Then we’ve got the ASA who MLMs ignore. There’s no point in the ASA sending bots a request not to be naughty, it’s got to be the MLMs themselves held to account, as I think this dirty deletion of Yawn’s shows.

Here’s the whole thing

2023 Forever Living Income Claims Database - Truth in Advertising

Between June and November 2023, TINA.org investigated 100 MLM companies, which included 93 DSA member companies plus 7 other prominent MLM companies, and found that 98 percent used atypical and…

@YouOKHun
Thanks for those links
Really interesting reading about how little if any money can be earned.
Also the start up costs, followed by constant investments in more products to keep your account open, the cost of samples, and you pay your own packaging and postage when sending stuff off. All in black and white.

Spongebobette · 29/04/2024 06:53

And whenever there is a new product launch the bots all have to buy it so they can talk about it

rather than all being sent the new product gratis

Anyone remember Iron Bot? Still pushing JP but looks like she has a J.O.B. these days 😱 not that she admits it obviously...

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 29/04/2024 09:28

That fake tan post of Yawn's contains an affiliate link at the end of the url. She's making a cut of whatever purchase is made. How would FL feel about that I wonder?

That is interesting. We used to work together and I wondered whether she would pop up in her original industry again.

HouseofHolbein · 29/04/2024 09:55

@BangingOn the suspicion on t*tyke is that she is working in Next... someone spotted a lanyard that looked to confirm that...

Spongebobette · 29/04/2024 09:58

Hmm looking at the timeline, FL sent the letter about what they were going to do on 22 Feb and there is a list of actions - escalating from ‘working with’ distributors to help them understand and to remove posts, to more training, to ultimately suspending or removing the distributor if they refuse to remove posts or continue to transgress

I wonder if ‘discussions’ have been going on for months with Yawn

OP posts:
YouOKHun · 29/04/2024 09:59

@dickiedavisthunderthighs I wondered if she is being told to actively dilute her content or if FLP is working up to a change in the way they do things? Even if any change is about muddying the water so their decline isn’t so stark. The word ‘affiliate’ keeps popping up. Not sure but there is definitely a change in the tone of Yawn’s posts and I think she’s had her knuckles rapped and has been told do her lying more carefully from now on.

Anyway today she is pushing the time freedom narrative which is easy to do when she is largely unemployed.

BangingOn · 29/04/2024 10:02

@HouseofHolbein ouch! That smacks of taking anything for the money rather than re-establishing her career. She’s been out of the industry for a long time but she was good at what she did.

YouOKHun · 29/04/2024 10:09

@Spongebobette I’m sure you’re right. That’s real pressure on her. I think the new CM has forced a new level of lying out of the bots as he’s from a long line of FLP bots who have had freedom to advance their bizniz any way they like, so he’s put them under pressure. This is the result.

It couldn’t come at a worse time for Yawn. Her previous earning power relied upon being economical with the truth and now more than ever it relies on concealing the truth. WTF will she do? There’s no way she can go down the influencer route as no one outside her echo chamber is interested.

YouOKHun · 29/04/2024 10:20

@HouseofHolbein I read somewhere the other day (wish I could remember where) that JP is in real trouble. I follow one of their big bots who has a “respectable” healthcare related job and in the background had a big JP downline. He is a massive conspiracy theorist and used his impressionable JP audience to counsel against vaccination including MMR and to frighten people out of conventional evidence-based treatment. Not a nice man. If he has to get a job in Next I’ll be happy!

HouseofHolbein · 29/04/2024 11:05

@YouOKHun T@title is onto about thread 13 just about JP. I read avidly 🤣🤣 JP was a thing here at one point but I actually don't see much evidence of mlms locally since BSAP folded. Not even Avon.

Ooowhatshappeningnow · 29/04/2024 11:19

It looks like yawn is trying to become a lifestyle and diet influencer. ( might not have much choice with FL going as it is ) She tried it with the alcohol free wine she was doing vids on with links, now it’s the fake tan. She had the whole magazine thing as well. She does see herself as a bit of a celeb lol.

YouOKHun · 29/04/2024 12:24

Yawn is saying talk to her as what she does is fun and ‘very lucrative’. Becoming all vague doesn’t stop it being a false claim Yawn.

The other change I noticed the other day is that the ability to comment on her posts is now possible again. I wonder if that is something she’s been told to do as I can’t imagine her choosing to risk comments being left otherwise. I want to ask her for specifics about what precisely ‘very lucrative’ means and what are the typical earnings after expenses through selling product to real customers alone, but don’t want to get blocked.

I see she’s handed over the Feel Fraudulent FB page title to her new recruit who lost weight last year without FLP in her life. Let’s see how long it takes her to rewrite that journey to include the C9 etc.

Spongebobette · 29/04/2024 13:14

It may be that she needs comments on her page to get engagement or the algorithms will scupper her
so she’s taking the risk and having to check any posts and delete any problematic ones immediately.

Yawn has had a 'monumental pants afternoon' but is still off to Cardiff for those lucky folks

Butterflyfluff · 29/04/2024 15:31

Someone needs to tell Yawn that cream skirt is completely see through! 😂

ticktock19 · 29/04/2024 15:33

You're not wrong...there's a glowing thigh 'gap' again 😳

Twentytwentyhindsight · 29/04/2024 15:39

Seeing as Yawn and 2 Jags have never been seen to interact before, despite the many FLP opportunities to do so, I don't expect either is relishing the 'girls' road trip' to Wales very much...

Spongebobette · 29/04/2024 15:41

Hmmm

2 jags is coming to pick her up to travel to Cardiff apparently

Perhaps Mr Y is using the Rangey 🤣

SnoogyWoo · 29/04/2024 15:43

Maybe the bill for the flight came through this afternoon 😆

Angrymum22 · 29/04/2024 15:52

If it’s monumental then it will be to do with cash. I think that the HMRC have called a halt to the bed and breakfasting. Or she’s cocked up with her VAT returns.
Or HMRC have called in the directors loan.
It will all become public if they have to serve notice.

That could be very very true, she may be deleting all income claims due to HMRC too. Which is it Yawn....FL & TiA or HMRC

YouOKHun · 29/04/2024 16:21

@ticktock19 the real tragedy in this hurried dirty deletion is the invention of the screen shot. The shite these bots and certain country managers pull is forever documented on our respective Clouds. As far as HMRC is concerned deleting a few posts is too little too late and not nearly enough of a cover up. She’d just have to hope she is too small fry for them to bother, not that her loan is small in proportion to her business.
