Credit scoring

I can't get credit but there seems to be no reason behind it.

I have downloaded my credit reports from Experian (983 out of 999), Equifax and TransUnion and there is nothing showing on there at all. Can't remember the scores but similar to Experian score.

All was fine until the last 4 years.
I left my marriage and moved address a couple of times in the process but I've been at my current address for the last 3 years and on the electoral role.

I did have an issue with Vodafone who didn't close down my internet account with them properly but when that came to light it's been removed from my reports and no longer shows.

I've not applied for loads of different items, just when I have it's been refused and luckily I don't "need" to apply for anything. But I do need to understand what's going on and can't get any answers. When I've contacted Experian and equifax I get a blanket "we can't see anything wrong"

Anyone any idea what I can do?

Thank you.

I've read through that, and similar previously and I still can't work out what to do.

I only have my mortgage at the minute. Paid off the small cc debt I had following my divorce. I'd happily have a credit card to use and pay off but it's been declined when I've tried and I don't want to keep trying and have that cause issues.

TU still had a financial association with my ExH so I've asked for that to be removed but I don't think that can be causing the extent of the issues I'm having. Applied for a switch to Santander and the account has been accepted but the overdraft rejected. Equifax said they've only done a soft search and there are no hard searches showing so no issue there. Can't see any irregularities on my addresses - though I'll have another look through them all to triple/quadruple check....

It could be that youve had no credit lately...weirdly enough.
It could be that your income wont allow for credit cards by lenders.
Luma, capital 1, vanquis..do credit cards for people who struggle to get credit cards...they arent for large amount initially but it gets your foit on the credit ladder

Zable credit card are good. Only a small amount first but as you say if you could pay it off each month it would help your credit. I'd definitely check your address isn't blacklisted because of a previous resident

Have a look on uswitch, they will score chances of approval of getting the credit card, so no pointless applications on ones you won't get!
