child tax credits managed migration

Just after a bit of reassurance/advice. I work part time but had my hours reduced to 23 from 25 and currently receive child tax credits only. I didn't inform anyone at the time because although my contracted hours changed I was still working my original hours (due to staffing model). For the last few weeks I have worked 23. My issue is I am due now to migrate to universal credit by April and am worried they will pick up my change of hours and open up a can of worms! I also came into inheritance that will mean I will no longer quality for universal credit after the 12-month period. Has anyone had a similar issue? Am I better not bothering?

You can report your change in hours and they can back date it if you're worried.

I think if you don't migrate by the date you are supposed to you lose your claim. If you want to claim for the year just move across to UC but you'll have to tell them the correct hours you work. They'll take it from there. If you don't notify them of correct hours and they pay you money you're not entitled to it could be fraudulent.
