Credit Card Paid Off

I just want to shout from the rooftops that my credit card is completely paid off and I have no debt whatsoever apart from the mortgage and I am thrilled! I do also have student loans that will need to be paid off once I'm earning enough but working part time for the next few years with young children means the repayments won't start for a really long time.
I'm just so happy, my partner has always been so good with money and I have always been the complete opposite, so now to have this fully paid off, £2.5k in my own personal savings and more in the joint account makes me very happy and proud of myself! Impulse spending has always been a problem and I'm just thrilled that I've managed to get it under control :)

What's next @biostudent, maybe an emergency fund?

biostudent · 07/03/2024 12:52

@NHStoPrivate Well between my partner and I (primarily my partner) we have about 2 years of living expenses in savings accounts if we really needed it, so honestly I think I'm going to just keep putting money into my own personal savings account and keep that as an emergency fund and anything I am specifically saving for keep in a tin or a separate bank account :)

@Pushtart The best feeling! I'm trying to get everything about myself into the best I can be because I've definitely been slacking recently aha!!
