Inheritance from Spain

I along with my 2 siblings have inherited my dad's apartment in Spain. In accordance with Spanish tax we are keeping the apartment for 5 years after inheritance as this means we won't be liable for inheritance tax.

However, once we sell and get our share each, am I liable for capital gains tax when my share hits the uk? I'm sure I probably will be, just wanted to see if anyone on here has been through this. Thanks.

Currently yes, but there's annual allowances. Speak to someone with understanding of both countries tax systems and transferring money between countries as it's not as simple as keeping it five years - you are based on Britain so it is not straightforward
